Czech Scrabble - Olympic Tournament

Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 9 o'clock in the Great Hall (Aula) of Tyršův dům. The main tournament in Czech Scrabble for two players. Special Olympic rules for the word set will be applied and all inflected forms of Czech words will be allowed. The Czech Scrabble Association (ČAS) rules will be used wherever not explicitly stated otherwise.

The tournament will consist of 7 rounds Swiss system, TurČAS will be the secondary ranking criterion. Actual ČAS ranking will be used for pairing, though the results most likely won't count to the rating due to different rules.

To give you an idea of what you can expect: the cases of nouns, adjectives, pronouns and numerals will certainly be allowed; the same holds for transgressive forms of verbs. We will attempt to minimize the limitations of the vocabulary, so for instance allowing proper nouns is quite probable (of course only those proper names listed in approved dictionaries - we don't count on adding a geographical dictionary to the approved resources :-))
